A Typical Mo-Dog Day…

Sitting at our feet while we eat breakfast…

Being used as a pillow. Doesn’t she look thrilled? 😉

Having her personal bubble invaded…either by us or by a camera.

Enjoying some cuddle time while enjoying the KU game…

Poor thing is completely unloved.

Project 365 – Week 2

January 9th – Happy Hour… doesn’t matter if it’s 5 degrees or 95 degrees. Sonic Happy Hour is still happy!

January 10th: Whiskers…and I just realized that you can’t even see the single black one that I really love!

January 11th: The little sister has finally reached adulthood because she’s made her first official gravy.

January 12th: Controlled Chaos is what my office has felt like since I the 1st of the year.

January 13th: Self-portrait #1

January 14th: Water, water everywhere thanks to the annoying people above us. At least I’m getting professionally cleaned carpets out of this!

January 15th: My giant furball enjoys her cuddle time!

Project 365 – week 1

January 2nd – I spent the morning coloring a calendar for mom…yes, I’m still a child 😉

January 3rd – Puppy paws in the snow from the 3rd snow storm this year.

January 4th – Nothing says welcome back from your vacation than this. And to think, this was over a holiday!

January 5th – My new office is going to be where the ladder is…once they actually put up the missing wall 😉

January 6th – The view from my “office” this afternoon due to a snow storm…looks suspiciously like my living room.

January 7th – Well, the ornaments are mostly packed away…that’s a step in the right direction right?

January 8th – Snow, Snow everywhere and it’s still coming down.

Christmas 2009 – pt 1

For Christmas this year, we headed out to Fort Collins, Colorado where my aunt and uncle live. Because of the time when we had to leave, we decided to stay overnight in the middle of nowhere Kansas so that we wouldn’t be driving in the dark in snow/ice. On the way to our stopping point we grabbed dinner where I accidentally sat down and took a drink from my sister’s cup. Needless to say, I didn’t like what was in it. 🙂

The first part of the drive was fine…a little fog and some snow that was already on the ground but nothing else. The next day however, was a different story. We headed out and found ourselves in the midst of some serious wind which caused some serious snow blowing.

Then a little further down the road, we came to a sheet of ice that completely covered the road. Everywhere we looked there were cars and trucks in ditches. We were following a line of a couple other cars that were all pretty much going around 20 to 30 miles an hour.

Finally we made it to the Oasis…literally. You have to love the irony of fake palm trees surrounded by piles of snow! All I have to say about the Oasis is God bless whoever decided that the middle of nowhere Kansas needed a Starbucks! It was a great place to get out of the car and breathe after driving on solid ice for half an hour or so.

Luckily, after we crossed the state line into Colorado, the roads were great. We made it for Fort Collins and were greeted by my uncle playing with his newest “toy”, a snowblower! He was having way too much fun.

Project 365 – 2010

So today starts the first official day of the closest thing to a New Year’s Resolution that I’m going to make. I got a point & shoot camera for my birthday back in November so I now carry a camera with me 99% of the time. Because of this, I’ve decided to try and do Project 365 for 2010 which is hosted here on Flickr. Some people do the project to better learn how to use their camera, others to make themselves see what’s going on around them each day. For me, it’s a way to make myself take photos on a more regular basis. So, I’m going to have a box on the side of my page that will link to my Flickr page where I will post a photo each day. I’m also thinking about posting a weeks worth of photos in one post each weekend here on the blog.

Since it’s officially January 1st…here’s the first photo. Happy New Year!

Blokus was our family’s “IT” game this year. We took it with us to Colorado for Christmas and loved it!

Merry Christmas…

Christmas #1:

Since we’re headed to Colorado for Christmas this year, we had Christmas with my Grandma (who lives here in town) on Sunday. We had dinner at Bravos (LOVE that place), grabbed coffee and headed back to Beastie and my place. It definitely makes our place feel like an adult’s place since we had a holiday thing here! It was a very kitcheny Christmas for me this year…

The big furball must be the center of attention…

I have a love of elephants…photos or modern-ish figurines.

Can’t wait to play with this after New Years when I’m back in my routine!

Yes?
